E. Tracy Williams
Since completing my BA degree at the State University College at Buffalo, I continued studies in the Fine
and Applied Art Techniques of Sculpture, Figure modeling, Painting Collage and Drawing at the Cincinnati Art Academe, the Rhode Island
School of Design and the Arts Student League of New York City. My choice of collage and assemblage as the technique for my visual
expression was deeply Influenced by the following renowned artists:
Leo Manso, Bruce Dorfman, and Charles Hinemann.
Relocations
throughout the northeast USA gave me the opportunities to examine quality historical and contemporary works of art in numerous well
known museums, which also effected my art. Art, as all of life is a sense of relationships. My collages of abstract art works
integrates a variety of materials, such as fabric, papers, metals, paint, twigs etc to create an emotional statement using color,
form, line and textures. Through these creations, it is thoughts and feelings that become the subject, which the viewer may experience.
My artwork has been recognized in the "Artists to Watch" article of Watercolor Magic, December 2005 issue, and received an Honorable
Mention in the "Best of North Carolina Artist", 2005 publication.I have been juried into and won awards in many local art competitions
of my North Carolina area. You may see my art work currently on display at: Michael LeCher Gallery and also showing with The
Fine Arts League of Cary, The Visual Arts Exchange, The Raleigh Art Guild and The Triangle Art Guild.
